Autumn Grasses

 

It is hard put to see any signs of autumn

on the gulf coast of Florida.  On the island,

these grasses change from green to pink

colors this time of year.

It alone signals man and creature that

seasons are changing.

Autumn Comes To The Coast

 

I lived on the gulf coast of Florida

 for a number of years. Often times

I found myself on an island that was

left to the elements.  Sea grapes and 

wild flowers grew along the pathway

out to the ocean.

I always had my camera for such 

occasions.

Now living in South Carolina, I find

myself missing this remarkable place.

Autumn came to the island each

year and like no other place, nature

changed it's colors in subtle ways.

when nature is allowed

I realized almost 

immediately, this place

was a work of art, made

by the Creator.

Great White Egret

Photo taken while still living in Florida, on the gulf coast. Often visited an island, left to the elements, home to these beautiful birds. Photography was an enjoyed past time.  The enlargement of the Egret, I photoshopped.....one of my favorite images ever captured by my camera.
